Brief Description of the Project	1750 km of dual freeway road designed of 2x3 lanes with extra emergency lane in each direction. The design was done according to the modern international of highway standards. The project design includes also all necessary services areas that are allocated on both sides of the Motorway. Such service area will provide all basic needs to the passengers and travelers including motels, patrol stations, shops & cafeterias as well as other services such as maintenance utilities. The number and sizes of these service stations are extendable to meet all future demands.
Objective and Rationale for the Project	This project forms an essential part of the Magharbi Sayar Road which links all UMA states. The project will also link the UMA states to eastern part of North Africa including Egypt and other countries. In future this project will provide an important opportunity to complete the road networks that connect our Africa continent with both Europe and Asia continents. It is for-sure a crucial project for the future development of our continent that is aimed by the ambitious 2063 Strategy of Africa.
Location/Site	The northern part of Libya that links the Libyan western border zone with Tunis to the Libyan eastern border zone with Egypt.

Existing or Planned Projects along the proposed project	The project serves an existing infrastructure asset of another sector, but there is less than 50% overlap in the geography serviced by the proposed project and the other sector existing asset.

Gender Procurement actions	The project will definitely provide tremendous opportunities for women during the construction phases which will last for 4 years and also during the operational phases which will last for at least 50 years.
